It is a picture book created for my final major project in the illustration course. The story is about an adolecent fox who is impatient, and searches for her mother in various different places using her magic. She experiences the different worlds around her, and how each one treats her. She learns about the importance of patience.
The point of this project was exploring and expanding a new style that had been previously established by the unicorn comic. The new style was to explore different species and landscapes. The scenery present in this book is supposed to be fictional and fantastical, showing off my choices of colour and how I make the characters interact with that space. Another reason it was created was to show off several visual perspectives, and not just sticking to one viewpoint. Submitting this project also meant making sure the pages could be in printable quality by resolution and size. Lastly, it was created out of my passion for picture books. It is one of my first proper picture books and it can only get better from there.
